About Us

Graduate Students Association of Ghana in the United States of America (GRASAG-USA) is the maiden chapter of GRASAG outside the shores of Ghana. The association was established to create a formidable voice and a vibrant community of Ghanaian Graduate Students in the USA. Primarily, GRASAG-USA serves as a collaborative platform that connects, develops, and enriches the academic and professional capabilities of all members - senior colleagues (graduate members) and junior colleagues (undergraduate members) inclusive.
WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Kwesi Acquah Sam

I am honored to welcome you to the Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana in the United States of America (GRASAG-USA) and to the 2023/2024 academic year, particularly our new members commencing their educational programs in various institutions across the United States. The academic year looks promising, and we encourage everyone to launch deep and explore all intellectual passions and social interests. The journey can be undulating, tumultuous, and overwhelming, but always remember that you have a community of support behind you.

As an association established to create a formidable voice and a vibrant community of Ghanaian Graduate Students in the USA, we continually explore avenues to create collaborative platforms that connect, develop, and enrich the academic and professional capabilities of all members. To our new graduate students, GRASAG-USA will forever be the platform to provide academic, social, personal, and professional support as you pursue your graduate degrees. Do not be an island. Reach  out to any of us if you need any assistance. You are not alone. The executive board is poised to provide all members equitable, inclusive, and participatory leadership and programmatic support. We have designed diverse welfare benefits, programs, and initiatives such as research and conference grants, book and scholarship grants, and food banks to support members. We encourage you to engage in all our programs and activities for the academic year. Together, we make a difference! Let’s Make It Happen.

Have a fruitful academic year!!
